Canon EOS C100 is a new Cinema Camcorder who brings true cinema quality to independent event videographers and video production organizations. It features the Super 35mm Canon CMOS Sensor and Canon DIGIC DV III Image Processor of the Canon C300. Unlike its 4K sibling, the C100 offers 1,920 x 1,080 AVCHD via its Super 35mm 16:9 CMOS sensor, has an ISO range of 320 to 20,000 and sports the EF mount system. Other features of interest include a push auto iris function, one-shot auto focus, a multi-angle 3.5-inch LCD and a locking HDMI output. Unfortunately, the C100 user may get some troubles about recordings to iMovie 8/9/11 importing.

For example, "For the record, my C300 is easily the best camera I own. Its images always blow me away and its handling and form factor are just superb. But the most terrible thing is that when I imput these cilps to iMovie, I got the error message directly. Why? I am eager to editing in iMovie further. Is there anyone here can help me? First, you have to know that the recorded files are AVCHD .mts or .m2ts formats, and the videos doesn't work well with iMovie software because AVCHD is not a good editing format. To solve the incompatible question, you can follow the below steps, after the stpes, you can transfer Canon EOS C100 AVCHD files to iMovie for editing and playing without quality loss.



Step 1： Please find a Mac AVCHD to iMovie Converter to transcode or change AVCHD to a editable format on Mac, and install, then imput the recordings deom C100 to the program.

PS: You can imput a number of files to the programs, and if necessary, you can use the function "Merge into one"

Step 2: Choose the best compatible output format-- Apple Internediate Codec(AIC)(*.mov) for iMovie.
