Convert MKV/AVI/VOB/Tivo/MPG/WMV/FLV/F4V to Nexus 4 on Windows & Mac

On October 29, 2012, Google announced the Nexus 4 and scheduled its launch for November 13, 2012. This new Nexus 4 is Google's fourth Nexus-branded Android smartphone and the phone is nicely designed and manufactured by LG Electronics, and well specified with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, it is also equipped with front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera which is capable of taking stunning pictures. Google Nexus 4 was launched with the new Android 4.2 operating system, titled "Jelly Bean" with 1280*768 display resolution, people who store videos and movies on it can get a real feast for themselves.

But some of them may get into trouble since this smartphone just like most of others can only support few video and audio formats for playback, and they need a Best Video Converter for Nexus 4 to help then get Nexus 4 compatible .mp4 videos. Pavtube just released new version of Video Converter on Windows and Mac on May 22, 2013, which makes Pavtube Video Converter more powerful and developed on handling video converting and transcoding.

This article shows brief instruction about how to convert MKV, AVI, VOB, Tivo, MPG, FLV/F4V videos for Nexus 4 using latest Pavtube Video Converter on Windows & Mac

Step 1. Get prepared.

1. Download and install the top MKV/AVI/VOB/TiVo/MPG/FLV/F4V to Google Nexus 4 Converter-Best 1080p/720p Video to Nexus 4 Converter (Mac version is available for Mac OS users)

2. Familiar with Google Nexus 4 supported video and audio formats

Nexus 4 Supported Video formats: MP4, H.264, H.263

Nexus 4 Supported Audio formats: MP3, WAV, eAAC+, AC3

Step 2. Import MKV, AVI, VOB, Tivo, MPG, FLV/F4V videos.

Click "Add Video" or "Add Folder" button to load single video or whole video folder source. The Nexus 4 converter supports video formats and codec like H.264, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, Xvid, TS, AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, MOV, TOD, M2TS, MTS, MOD, VOB, TiVo and some other codecs.

Step 3. Choose Output video format and customize profile settings.

Click the dropdown list of "Format" and set a Google Nexus 4 supported format to convert video for Nexus 4. We recommend you to choose "Android> Google Nexus 7 H.264 (.mp4)" as output format. This profile is not for Nexus 4 and to get better video display, adjust Size to 1280*768 would help.

Tip: If you concern more on HD quality than file size, you may press "Settings" and set video bitrate up to 2000kbps-4000kbps in the Settings window that pops up. And you can adjust audio and video parameters including video/audio codec, resolution, video/audio bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the following popup window.

Step 4. Start conversion.

Click "Convert" button in main UI, and after a successful conversion, you can click "Open" button at the bottom of the main interface to get the output MP4 files and transfer videos to Nexus 4 for playing.
