Speaker danger?

Postby Sasquach » Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:27 am

Quick question which I am hoping wont vary too much from phone to phone. I am not aware of the correct terminology so searching for an answer has been difficult. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere.

Can I hurt the android speakers by playing a sound too loud? Or does the phone(s) have automatic protection against loud sounds.

I currently use MediaPlayers for my sounds and I just want to be safe when handling louder sounds. I am not doing anything crazy and turning the volume up on the user in my app, but my app has funny sounds which I play louder then normal.

Thanks in advance!
