Slow streaming whoutcast in Android

Postby lacas82 » Sat Oct 16, 2010 9:38 am

I have a data connection with a shoutcast, my code is the following:

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1.
  2. URLConnection cn = new URL(mUrl).openConnection();
  3.         cn.connect();  InputStream stream = cn.getInputStream();
  4. ...
  5. byte buf[]                               = new byte[16384];
  6. ...
  7. do
  8. int nread = stream.read(buf);
  9. ...
  10. while...
  11.
Parsed in 0.013 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

But this is very slow, when i get in VLC 200kb, i get in android 50 kb. in VLC i get 120 kb, android get: 30-32kb.

What is the probleme here? Why it is so slow?
