Routing sound to SCO

Postby sapiezynski » Thu May 20, 2010 9:37 am

Hello everybody.
I am developing an application which has to reply sound over Bluetooth to another device. Everything goes fine as long as I use the A2DP but what I really need is sending the sound over SCO protocol. The A2DP will be soon removed from the device I am using.

I read the whole Internet ;) and I found out that last year sending sound over SCO was not supported (then how did the hands free sets work?!). There are functions which do seem to support it. When I set

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1. AudioManager.setMode(MODE_IN_CALL);
  2. MediaPlayer.setAudioStreamType(AudioManager.STREAM_VOICE_CALL);
  3. AudioManager.setBluetoothScoOn(true);
  4. AudioManager.isBluetoothScoOn();
Parsed in 0.031 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

then the last functions returns true, I cant hear anything in the phone's speaker and when I change the volume I see "Bluetooth In-call volume" but I hear nothing in the headset.

Any ideas?
Cheers!
