problem in playing aac/mp4 files

Hi,

I am using android source code with emulator. I made a SdCard image and pushed the .aac and .mp4 files (given in /external/opencore/engines/player/test/data) to the SDCARD image. Now when I run the emulator in the music I can see those files. I can only see the mp3 files.

But if I see the files through adb shell command.
what could be the problem??

Have you tried going into the DevTools App and selecting Media Scanner ? This scans the SDCARD for media files but there might not be support for those audio formats.

thanks for the reply. Yes I made changes in MediaFile.java and MediaScanner.java and now its playing fine

Hi...

After inserting the files to SDCARD... give the command as adb shell ls -l /sdcard... It will display the list of files present in the SDCARD.... and aac i didnt tried... but mp4 files are playing in android emulator
