play video frile from @raw folder

Hi i'm unable to play an video file that is placed in @raw/ folder. Could anyone of you help me in playing the video file.

Is it neccessary to have SD card installed to play any video file???
or there is any code that can be used to play the video file without SD Card????

Play video from SD Card

i'm able to create SD card image and push a video file into it, but unable to play it. could anyone help me how to play a video file from SD card.
