I'm developing a game for the upcoming Android Developer Challenge II and I'm a little worried about file size and resource issues. I would like to incorporate music into the game, but my music and sound comes to about 5mb, compressed about as much as I'm willing to. Likewise, the associated image files will probably be on the order of 3-5mb. Right now I'm projecting a completed app size in the range of 10-15mb. Is this intractable? Any advice or input about how to handle related media files?
I saw in another forum thread a suggestion of having the app download media to the phone's SD card upon installation or the first time it's run. Has anyone used this method?
Thanks.
