Jet creator music help

Postby s141797 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 3:38 pm

Hello!

I am trying to edit music for a game on my computer using the music editing program Sonar 7. In order to make the midi files compatible with android devices and JET Creator i need to use the EAS synth plugin for Sonar 7. The problem is that i cant find the "EAS Synth.dll" wich is needed for this.

The plugin is described under section 3.1 in the guidelines:
http://www.netmite.com/android/mydroid/ ... lines.html

Any help will be appreciated.

You actually don't need that sound engine if you are happy with standard gm midi sounds. Android has its own midi implementation. You can verify that by playing your Sonar midi file (save as midi type 1) with the Android mediaplayer.
The jet player just adds some special control items to the standard midi file.

BTW. My Droid has very good midi sounds!

oops, I may have answered a different question...

Sorry, I jumped to the conclusion that you were asking something else -

The Sonivox JetCreator package that comes with the Android SDK includes EASDLL.dll.
(It is in the DLLs directory under the Python25 directory.)
But it is my understanding that it is just for the JetCreator application, not for Sonar.
This is so when you play the Jet files with the JetCreator application, they will sound the same as
your Android device. Playing the same sequence with Sonar may sound different because the midi synthesizer
engine is different.

I gave up

Postby s141797 » Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:06 pm

I gave up the JET creator, after two days of trying to get it working... Until i someone makes a good tutorial, that explains how the music is made for the JET creator I think well see very few apps that acrually uses the JET engine. Meanwhile I'll use the soundpool, wich in my case worked ok.
