Sony VX2000 is a has-been one of the best camera ever made by Sony company. Even now some people are using this camera. The VX-2000 is a pretty large (12 inches not including the hood or other accessories) and it is a large camera. When you turn it on the thing is the actual medium size fairly large LCD. It is an improvement from the VX-1000 that just has a viewfinder. Very first, the quality and colors might be satisfactory, so you generally need to manually adjust the settings. This seems like a tough task for the intermediate videographer, but if you made the investment to buy one of these cameras, you would need to learn sometime.

Have got some movies shot with your Sony VX2000 camera and want to transfer them to your PC? Here is a simple guide to help you to transfer you videos from Sony VX200 to PC or laptop.

USB transfering

1. Power off your camera, and connect it to your computer with the USB cable.

2. Turn on your camera

3. Several seconds later, you computer will recognize the disk of your camera. And the Firstarsoft MTS Converter will recognize the AVCHD files captured from your VX2000

4. Drag the file from your VX2000 to the folder you want to place the videos.

5. You need convert the avchd files to other formats such as mp4,avi,wmv before you can play them with your windows media player.

Note: Usually, there is a CD coming with the camera in the box. If you need the driver, install it on your computer from the CD. Firstarsoft MTS Converter or Editor or other software that recognize AVCHD files is necessary.

Get MTS Converter

Before you buy an AVCHD-capable editor, be sure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum requirements – and that it can deal with Sony’s AVCHD implementation.

If you still can’t import the files with the above method, you can try the following to check where is the problem:

Turn on and off the camcorder once again.

Disconnect the cable from both the camcorder and the computer, and then reconnect it.

Reload Firstarsoft MTS Converter or your AVCHD editor

Try using a different cable if possible.

Try another computer

If the methods above take no effect, there must be something wrong with the comera, take it to the customer service for help then.

For Mac users, iMovie is a good video editing software to customize your movie, but you still need a MTS Converter for Macto transfer AVCHD to iMovie before you can edit them on your Mac.
