Hi ,

When we insert images or media files to sdcard, how we can see this in emulator, means in which folder, i inserted some images and checked in "pictures", but i cant see anything there, just blank only --"No Pictures found" displaying.

For media i checked in "Media scanner" under 'Dev tools", there also cant see anything.

Can anybody guide me in this issue.

All the pictures should be available in the picture viewer no matter where they are stored on the sdcard. However I have a feeling that you talk about real (physical) sdcard which is invisible to the emulator (like any other part of your host filesystem)

Did you create an emulated sdcard image and loaded it to the emulator? Because then it should work fine.

run the following command

adb push <filename> /sdcard

If wanting to transfer all files in a directory onto sdcard, execute the following

adb push <source dir> /sdcard


Then go to DevTools->Media Scanner

Note: you will not see the pics/audio files here when you run Media Scanner.

Now, go to Pictures(Image Gallery). You will be able to see the image you pushed using adb command.

hi all, can build-in "gallery" display *bmp picture? I copy *jpeg, *png and *bmp to sdcard, and now find "gallery" only display pictures for *jpeg and * png.

how to display *bmp in emulator? Thx!
