How to process a Image with more than 3Mega pixels?

Hi,
I'm a new member here.

Recently I'm trying to coding a image processing program. After decoding a

picture from sd card ( method: BitmapFactory.decodeFile(String path)) the memory

of current process is so low that there is no enough memory for color array (int[] pixColor=new int[picW*picH]).

I think there must be other solution to process image, but i can't find.

So I need some suggestion. Please help me, a tips from you may change my life.
