Leucistic are you still stuck on this problem?

Whats the currently situation the first video is green then there is a gap then the second video plays?

Have you tried this on a real device as the emulators suck.

Have you tried using an onCompletionListener to start the second video? It can use all the same code all you have to change is the datasource?

Yes

The first video is green, and directly after, without any gap, the second video is played, but jerkily.

Have you tried this on a real device as the emulators suck.

I only work on a device (XPERIA X10).

Have you tried using an onCompletionListener to start the second video? It can use all the same code all you have to change is the datasource?

Actually, I'm on holiday, and I don't have sources with me. But I think that changing the datasource implies a prepare() call, which takes time. So if I make it on the onCompletionListener, the black will be there.

Have you looked into the actual video files? Tried different ones? Tried changing the compression or something, btw I have no clue about video compression :-)

Yes, I've tried different video files, but same results. There are all in mp4 and played well with the XPERIA.

Another issue was the playing of an image with the mediaPlayer, it gives me a Prepare Failed error ...
