Disable Gmail Sounds

Postby Adamah » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:40 am

Hi everyone!

I'm working on a bedtime app, and I want to disable the ringtone and vibration settings in Gmail (or any of the user's email clients) while it's in use. However, it seems like the vibration and ringtone settings for Gmail are separate from the rest of the phone. Even when the phone is in silent mode, the vibration goes off.

Does anyone know how I can turn off the vibrate/ring settings in the Gmail app? I'd really appreciate it. I've been scouring the web but haven't found anything.

Thanks!
