Different Opinion about VCR and PVR from UK Media’s Perspect

New research suggests that the PVR has killed off the VCR - although many people have a sentimental attachment to the obsolete technology. The rise of digital TV and its associated personal video recorder (PVR) has led to the death of the video cassette recorder (VCR), Freeview has said. --- Source from cable.co.uk

However, another survey claimed another opinion that 29% Of UK Citizens would like to Keep VCRs. The survey (TeleScope 2013), made to primarily investigate the trends of TV and PVRs (Personal Video Recorders) in the region found that people in the UK currently have a cumulative 455m hours of TV content stored on their PVRs (primarily through brands such as Sky+ and YouView), an amount that would take close to 52,000 years to get through on its own.

During the past years, the PVR (Personal Video Recorder) once gave a big hit to the consumer electrics market for its stunning feature of recording TV programs automatically with high definition up to 1080i. Later, since the HD PVR 2 Game Edition came out, many game lovers began to use it to record their game plays and shared them to friends. In a word, the PVR has largely facilitated people's daily life. And now, PVR heat the market again in small towns in India for 'nano' cinemas, according to an Indian media report recently.

PVR can be one of the greatest inventions to the modern world, as far as I am concerned. Although sometimes there will be difficulties to import PVR to media player like importing Humax PVR to WMV to Windows Media Player, that is just a piece of cake if you have a smart Mac PVR Software to help, because such software like Doremisoft Video Converter (Video Converter for Mac) can help users convert nearly all video formats to another, such as converting PVR to WMV and more.

I think we should really be of gratitude for such a great invention like PVR, for it has made our life much more convenient.
