Differences in camera field of view

Postby figin » Sat Jan 30, 2010 5:31 pm

Hi community,

I've recently started playing a little bit with my phone camera (G1/Dream) and I notices that it behaves very weird: the field of view of the camera depends on the application I use. When I use the default build-in camera application, it can be easily observed that I see a little bit more (the field of view is bigger) than when I use the CameraPreview API demo. Can anybody explain me what is the reason of that difference? Is it possible to create a camera preview application that seas as much as the default camera?

Regards,
Jacob

PS I'd be grateful for helping me also with my other camera problem: viewtopic.php?p=33991#33991
