Change App Icon

Postby Jonnyb42 » Tue May 31, 2011 12:25 pm

I went into res/drawable-mdpi and changed the default icon to one with inverted colors just to test it. However the icon is still the green original app icon. I have changed the ones in low dpi and high dpi as well, however it still shows as the original green on my phone. Does anyone know why?/How I can change the app icon?

Thanks,
Jonny

(Also, I am new on here, I just got an HTC Inspire and am looking forward to making apps!)

Well it all of a sudden shows up now, I guess there is a delay. Maybe it only shows a cached icon and updates it every once in a while. Anyways, that is my assumption!

I assume you're using eclipse, I find that every once in awhile I have to refresh the package folder containing the image before the change shows up in the graphical layout. Hope this helps.

Yeah, try either Cleaning the project or recreated the R file if you get the problem again

yeah refreshing and cleaning the project may fix some cache issues, like the variable declaration or so.:)
