I think you have to implement it yourself! Check the sources of the Home app in the android source for how to do it (and make a nice view, so we can easily use it too )

That changes nothing about my answer.

Though you can create lists of installed apps, there's some tutorial on the forums about this, but then they won't be in the nice drawer.

Talking about SlidingDrawer , is it the same widget used in the "services' pulldown list" ? I'll digg in the sources to check ...
