this will be my first post on anddev.org and I'm really looking forward getting to know the community
As most of you, I'm woundering about something: I'm about to develop a small game with a friend (targeting on 1.5 and up devices) and we have been talking about how to implement the (2D) graphics part. Should we try to "draw" everything with XML-defined drawables or should we use bitmaps (as we are doing right now)?? I tried to find something about this with the help of the search function here but was out of luck....
Also, I noticed the performance of the game within the emulator was acceptable (1.6 emulator) to very poor (1.5 emulator) on a 2.2 Ghz Dualcore Laptop. Does this implicate, that we will also have performance problems on devices?
