I can't seem to run this program. The red cross appear on FriendFinder but there were no other red crosses on the other folders. When i tried to open main.xml, it says that "Could not open the editor: An unexpected exception was thrown." How do i fix this problem?

I get confused about your project. You just store some friend's location in your contact right? But what if they move, then their location will change.
And more importantly, you have to ask your friend for sharing their location because not everyone is willing to share their location.

i have a idea. you can use webservice to save locaion of your friends. You often update to databse which save location.
Now i have final project in my University. i used it to solse this problem

Hi,

Did anyone find a way to replace Contacts.ContactMethods.POSTAL_LATITUDE and Contacts.ContactMethods.POSTAL_LONGITUDE since ContactMethods is deprecated? The documentation says we should check ContactsContract but I cant find a smooth way to do this.

Hi,,I wanna ask why the application keep crashed and force close....

I get the source code from the zip above and do some changes so it compatible with sdk 2.1...like changing the people.notes into ContactsContract.CommonDataKinds.Note.NOTE and so on..

hi guys, i'm new in android
in this awesome tutorial some classes are deprecated or added in other classes
these classes are:
android.content.IntentReceiver;
com.google.android.maps.OverlayController;
com.google.android.maps.Point;

how can i modify the source and replace these deprecated classes with the right classes and methods????

Hi, I'm new in android. I got the same errors. When i first extracted this app. Earlier I got many errors from manifest file and xml file. But i already fixed those. Then i went to Build Path, there was 1 error android_sdk_m3 is missing. I replaced it by other android sdk. Afterthat i got many errors from the FriendFinder and FriendFindermap which i don't know how to solve them such as :

import android.content.IntentReceiver; can not be resolved
IntentReceiver cannot be resolved to a type

Very thankful for the fast responses.
