Hi Guys!

I'm very new to android development, I hoping to create a store finder app with google map. Basically when someone open up the application it should query the database and find all the stores within 5 miles of their location( mile should be configurable).

Also have the ability to enter an address and find all the stores within certain miles of the address.

I've read few map tutorials but can't get it work properly, get lot of errors, maybe they were written for older APIs.

I would be very grateful if someone can write a tutorial or point be to similar tutorials.

it would be useful if there was a template for this type of App, ie some type of POI search with specific code to action once clicked

I am working on POI, I am searching a bar within 7500 radius from the specified latitude and longitude.
I am working on emulator, I am using HHTP tomcat server.


My HTTP Request :

I am getting the below Error :
