Hello community :)

first, I would like to briefly introduce myself. I'm an upcoming graduate from Germany. I'm going to write an Android application in order to my final graduation and I'm glad to find this great community :)

I've just been reading a bit in Jeff Sharkeys blog (CompareEverywhere) and found among others this image:

Is this a standard component or do I have to write it myself :?:
Furthermore could you advice me some press about Android UI components / Android developement?

Regards,
Thomas

edit: admittedly, "Map-Problems" isn't quite an ideally subforum... ;)
