POI on MapView

Postby Paranoid » Fri Oct 24, 2008 3:55 pm

On the emulator if I go to the preloaded maps application I can search, for example, "London pubs" and it will (surprise surprise) come up with a list of pubs in london. However if I was to search for just "London" on its own
the map will animate to this location.

I have 2 questions:

1) How can I implent this on my own MapView? i.e get POIs for my own MapView
2) How does the preloaded maps app tell the difference between a POI search like "london pubs" and an area search like "London"?

any help appreciated

cheers
