Hi all,

If i want to simulator the GPS data ,such as when the android phone is moveing then the GPS location will change .How can i simulate the GPS data?Does any tools can simulator the move of the phone.

And when the location is changed ,does any listener method can listen the change event.

Yeah, there are two example-apps, showing how to do create a MockLocation and how to get its MockLocation. You can find them here:

there, choose:
MockProviderSample.zip
LocationAPISample.zip

I tried to run those examples on my eclipse platform:

I downloaded the file and extracted.
Than created a new android project and chose a - create a project from existing source.

But i get this massage:
No activity name defined in C:\eclipse\LocationSample\AndroidManifest.xml


Does it mean that this example needs to be added to an existing project?
I want to create a simple GPS application that shows the location of the device on a map... If not with those examples - Where should i start?

Thanks for the link to the projects, they are very helpful. I was able to import them without any trouble.

For LocationAPISample:
When I start the application, I do not see any location updates on the LogCat (I guess that should be the desired behavior)
I'm also having issues with my other code as well where I'm just trying to getLastKnownLocation() and am wondering if the problem could be due to my machine config (win xp)

Can anyone confirm that the LocationAPISample works with Android 1.0 SDK?
