GPS, View Performance

Postby ArtworkAD » Thu Aug 05, 2010 4:25 pm

Hi,

I have a gps module that fetches gps data. a handler informs the main activity on gps updates. On the main view I have a slider, that reveals a hidden view from the bottom. in this area i set a text view with the current location. the problem is that during the location update process, which repeats every 5 secs, the slider freezes a bit, so if I move the slider it stops for a sec. any idea how to fix that?

greeds
