GPS not available when screen locks

Postby ad.larsson » Tue Aug 31, 2010 2:43 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm new to Android SDK, but have couple years experience with Java.
I'm now in the process of creating an app and one of its functions is to run a service that tracks GPS locations and stores them into a file for later processing. However, I noticed that the GPS will not work when the screen is locked/turned off.
Is there anyway to keep the GPS service running?
