google maps: get altitude by latitude/longitude

Postby donroberto » Mon Oct 12, 2009 1:05 pm

Hi!
I am working on an android gps based app.
I found out that the altitude is often wrong.
For my add it is important to get reliable values.

I tohought it is maybee a good idea to get these valuesfrom google maps.
Is it possible to ask google maps to get the corresponding altitude values by posting latitude and longitude?

Thanks a lot!
