Hey everyone,
I am wondering if there is a simple way to detect when the pan animation of a map finishes. in other words, i don't simply detect ACTION_UP, because the map can still be moving to a different center after the finger is released from the touch display (in case you fling it!).

You can send an delayed message and check after a while if the map is still moving.
Maybe it's not the best solution but it works.

an idea would be to start a thread on key up

then wait i.e 2 seconds,

then call this on your map controller

and join the thread before doing any stuff with the center coordinates
