Mobile Applications opportunity with Lenovo in China

Postby lephone » Tue Aug 10, 2010 4:01 am

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am in charge of the Mobile Application business development for Lenovo's new mobile project. We hope to build up partnerships with Mobile Application suppliers who have high quality applications based on Android.
On 6th Jan, 2010, Lenovo launched a new smart handheld at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas called lePhone . It is based off of Google Android based on the Snapdragon 1G Hz CPU, 512M memory, and 3.7' touch OLED screen at 800*480 resolution. This Smart Phone will support Qualcomm’s hardware 3D Graphics and G-sensor. It is expected that total shipment of the Lenovo LePhone will be more than one million in 2010. (Please visit http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/06/leno ... for-china/) .

The Lenovo Smart Phone supports China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA, China Unicom’s WCDMA and China Telecom’s CDMA2000 networks and will no doubt have better chances to gain more share in the 3G smartphone market in China.

Lenovo President Liu Chuanzhi said that mobile Internet products would account for 10-20 percent of the computer giant’s total revenue in five years, and they would not expect to make money from mobile Internet products until two years later. The lePhone is striking Apple iPhone at Low Price $389.

Lenovo and China Unicom have announced plans to launch the Smart Phone and Lenovo App Store(http://www.lenovomm.com/appstore/ ).On May 17, 2010.The two parties reached strategic cooperation in 3G services, 3G application, channel collaboration, and joint marketing. These products will be sold at both sales channels of the two companies, including Lenovo's 3,600 PC and mobile phone stores and China Unicom's 1,600 business halls.

Now, Lenovo launches the English Developer Website(http://developer.lenovomm.com/developeren/). At this time you can be able to visit it and submit your applications. In September, the online Anti-Piracy Technology will be integrated into Lenovo Android SDK and in the end of this year , we will launch our new product---Lepad . Both lephone and lepad will use the same app store.

We will focus on publishing no more than 1,000 high quality mobile apps and games to the Lenovo App Store to help guarantee your earnings. We believe that you have the strength necessary to provide these kind of mobile applications. If you have interest in developing your mobile applications with us, we can discuss more in detail.

Best Regards

Yelin
