Have the original HTC G1 Google Phone by HTC. After canceling the TMobile contract the phone still had WiFi internet access but navigation was slow. Got some forum advice to reset the phone and restart. Most of the phone features have dissapeared and now I get the message No SIM card. The original SIM card is still in the phone. I would like to get some use of the phone as a someone new to learning development and to regain the WiFi access I once had.

Looking for any troubleshooting guidance from anyone with practical G1 experience
