Now that I've finished and placed my app into the Market store I'm realizing that that's not the only place where people get the apps. What are the other essential places where one needs to submit his app?

Also, what are the most common promotional techniques to get the word out about your app? My app is free so I just want to get people to use it and give me feedback.

Anybody at all?
