What is the consensus on Uri.parse("content://sms");

For me it works fine on the Droid incredible, but it doesn't work on Moto Droid and other phones. People says this URI is not part of the sdk, hence it breaks on certain phones.

What about this as a uri: ("vnd.android-dir/mms-sms");

What is a cross phone compatible URI to parse sms messages?
