SSH Server on Android

Postby spektro » Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:18 am

Hi all, comming from iPhone development scene for jailbroken devices.
Sorry if this was asked before, i did a search and could not find anything different from SSH clients.
Is there any way to have a SSH server on Android, most specifically on Nexus One?

Edit: Found something about dropbear, which requires busybox binaries. So, any of you experienced devs knows if this actually works for android 2.1 on a N1? Thanks.

Ok, continuing the monolog, i put the dropbear, scp and dropbearkey into N1, generated the secret rsa keys and started the ssh server daemon with no problems, so i could connect using putty into it. Now i have a full shell access as root, which adb shell also gives me. No big deal. But winscp fails to connect...
It actually connects but seems that dropbear does not deal with sftp protocol, so winscp fails at that part, where it tries to retrieve the filesystem and show it graphically.

So, any good advice on that? The goal is to have winscp or (cyberduck or fugu on mac) connecting and dealing with the filesystem access.

Thanks.
