Some questions about Android development

Postby Mag1c » Tue Jan 04, 2011 12:21 am

Hey,
I am insterested in learning Android, so I went to read about Java, and I found it almost identical to the language I already knew - C# .Net .
I know in C# a lot.. I know how to build classes functions etc.
Now is this enough? Or do I have to read more about Java?
Should I just start reading AndBook or first I must go and try to write some application in Java before starting Android development (I wrote A LOT in C#, is that enough)??
Thanks!

C# is about 95% identical to Java. It's primarily the API's that are different. And the googles can help you find the right syntax if Eclipse doesn't already suggest it.
I would suggest working through several tutorials in the areas that are close to what you want to do and learn the differences and see how much help you need making the transition.
Hope that helps,
