Simple Java Question

Postby Houseonfire » Fri Dec 05, 2008 8:46 am

I am extremely interested in learning how to get into Android development.
Although I am not an extremely experienced coder, I do know the basics of different languages, like C++, Python, and I am very experienced in Autoit.
I am, however, slightly new to Java.

My question is, how much Java is required that I know before I begin really getting into android development?

Learn proper Java first, no need to look over AWT or Swing. Ok, maybe you should also have notice of the EventListener way of handling stuff. If you know the language Java en the EventListener stuff, you can come to android to learn gui programming here (as it is a LOT different from Swing/awt).
