PC or Mac?

Postby chucky » Mon Jun 14, 2010 5:52 am

Just wondering what others are using to develop Android apps.

I use my MacBook Pro for iPhone development and am considering using it for Android as well.

I have Eclipse and Android stored on my work Dell laptop and it seems to be working ok.

Has anyone seen any issues with developing for Android on a mac?
Anyone know what type of machine the Google engineers used to develop Android on?

Thanks,

It's all personal preference in the end, Eclipse is multiplatform and so is the android SDK. I run Eclipse on both my MacBook and my Linux desktop, and use Subversion to keep my code in sync between the two. The android emulator is a bit process-intensive on my macbook though.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I should have clarified in my original post that I'm looking for performance issues between the two platforms. Thats why I asked if anyone knew what platform Google originally developed it on. One would think that it would perform best on the platform that it was developed on.
