When you create an app that you want to sell, how do you distribute it?

Is it only limited to Android Google Market? Or you can host the add and distribute it from your site independently?

You should read this, I found it easy to understand and helpful.

It seems to be telling only about Marketplace.

But can you publish your app on your own host independently? (not that I am saying Marketplace is bad, but I am just wondering).
