Forgive me for asking this newbie question, but I simply cannot find the answer anywhere I've looked.

I wish to purchase the fastest, currently available, Android capable phone on which to test my app. I do not want to sign up for a cellular plan at this time. HOW do I go about doing this?

It appears the HTC EVO 4G is the fastest phone currently available (if this is incorrect, or if a faster one is about to be released, can anyone chime in)? Where can I buy an unlocked EVO 4G? Am I going to have to sign up for a Sprint cellular plan, and then possibly cancel it immediately thereafter in order to get this to work?
