Hi All,
I'm trying to download the Android source code in my linux machine.
http://source.android.com/download
the above links contains the info like how to download the android source.

I'm facing some problems while doing the repo init process.

# repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git:8080

Getting repo ...
from git://android.kernel.org/tools/repo.git
fatal: Unable to look up android.kernel.org (port 9418) (Name or
service not known)
Please let me know if u have faced this error.

after that i have refered the following link...

now i'm getting the error like

# repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git

fatal: exec ~/bin/git-proxy failed.
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly [hr]

if any one knows the solution plz reply me...
