Google Maps / Geocoding

Postby Zerolith » Mon Nov 26, 2007 10:40 pm

Hello Everyone,

Is it somehow possible to Geocode an Address? Or calculate a Route between two Points?

I searched whole google Groups, Android Reference. But found nothing - except for that Stupid "LocationManager". Which gives me just some strange Coordinates.

Anyone can help?

thx,
Daniel

Hello Daniel,

I described the Mock Location Provider here (click).
It is an simulated gps-devices of a guy walking/driving around in S.F. near the Google-Headquarters.

I also haven't seen how to calculate a route, except with the built-in maps-application.

I'll post here, if I found sth (which would result in a tutorial ;) ). :!:

Thx for that, later I may try to get some data from my GPS Device to the Emulator.

I'm looking forward for Geocoding & Routing :-)
