detecting distance between devices

Postby scoobasteve1982 » Thu Aug 26, 2010 5:10 pm

Is there a way to detect the distance between two devices? I was considering using GPS to detect each phones lat and long and then use the provided methods to get the distance between the two. I was wondering if you could do this with Bluetooth..but my first inclination is no. Any thoughts?

I'm also interested in learning more about proximity to other phones, so say, I'm getting "closer" and "closer" to another device. Any thoughts on that too?
