Android and Flash?

Postby magic6435 » Thu Feb 14, 2008 3:10 am

I'm pretty new to the hole Android thing and am just looking for a little calcification. Does / Will the android platform support Flash Apps? Could someone roll out apps and flash mobile applications or even as AIR? Is java the only language thats going to be used to develop for android or can you use things such as python and ruby? i was checking out the android faq on google but it is so much information to take in at once i was having a hard time making sense of it all.

Thanks for any help and pointing me in the right direction.

Mike.

Hello mike,

flash currently no. But I won't be surprised if Adobe adds Flash/Flash lite support for Android in the future when Android becomes popular enough, just as what Adobe did for Linux, Windows, Mac, Windows Mobile, Symbian, BREW and PSP...

some basic C/C++ is possible on Android.
