AdMob Publisher Payments - Withdrawals

Postby sparkymustang » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:36 am

Does somebody know how it works?

In the help pages about payment to publishers it says:
===============
We begin processing payments one month after the end of the calendar month in which they are earned. There is generally a processing time of approximately one week, but you receive an email notifying you when payment processing begins.

For example, if you earn $500 in January, we start processing this payment in the first week of March and send funds the following week.

However, if your earnings are less than $20 at the end of a month, AdMob rolls your earnings over to the following month. For example, if you earn $10 in January and $50 in February, a payment is be sent to you for $60 in early to mid-April.
===============

This suggests that all payments are issued automatically.

On the other hand, there is a "Transfer Funds" button in the Account menu (The one where you theoretically get +20% bonus if you transfer +$50 USD) which suggests that the payments are issued after you manually click this button.

So, what of those both is it now? How it is supposed to work?

Sorry that I am asking this here, but I don't get any answers from support. We have requested (clicked the transfer funds button) 4 weeks ago when our balance was +$ 50USD and 2 weeks ago when our balance was +130USD.

If they process the requests on the next months, it would be great to, at least, have some sort of confirmation that the request was received:
- by email or
- in Account Summary or
- an answer to support request

Seems very unprofessional to me :(

I though it was quite pretty well explained on their site :

**************
Transfer money you have earned from AdMob to run ads in our network of sites & apps. You can transfer any amount over $10. Transfers of $50 or more may be elgible for a free 20% increase from AdMob

For example:
If you transfer $100 from pending earnings to run your ad, we will add an extra $20, giving you $120 to spend
****************

You transfer funds if you want to create an ad for your application !

If you are just a developer with ads in your application, you just have to fill correctly the informations, and checks will be sent ( with a little more than 1 month delay. I think it is the same with AdSense ).

Nothing to complain about here, I think !

To be fully honest, it took me a moment to fully understand that...
And the delay for receiving the check is big ( or for paypal if you're not in the US ) !
But it looks like it is the norm for ads providers.

I notice that Mobclix now also offer ads for Android. Has anyone tried to use them?

I am aware of this, because the only time I ever to pay taxes is when I got a job today, and the employer sends me a tax form at the end of the year, etc..
