I most likely misunderstand a lot.

Can I make my HTC Magic a "development phone"? My this, I mean can I add "Dev tools" to it, etc?
How do I enable provisioning, etc? A pointer to a good tutorial would be great, thanks.

You can use any android device for developing, just follow all the same guides that were written while only the G1 was out.
