What should I make for my highschool senior project?

Postby Raven » Thu Nov 04, 2010 12:30 am

I'm in the process of making (well actually , all I need to do is revamp my GUI and fix 2 minor bugs) a personal dictionary application. It would be your own dictionary for vocabulary terms, jargon, etc...

I don't think it will be too useful but whatever apps I can make will benefit Android all the same.

I was wondering what would be a nice senior project app to make? Now that I think of it, this application may not impress the judges :?

If you believe your app will not impress. What if you design the app to use the latest UI tweaks. Show them your following google standards:

http://blog.radioactiveyak.com/2010/10/ ... idget.html
http://androiddeveloperlabs.com/2010/06 ... per-avoid/

Also code your app to work on all three screen size LDPI MDPI & HDPI:
http://developer.android.com/guide/prac ... pport.html
http://developer.android.com/guide/prac ... dependence
http://developer.android.com/guide/prac ... sness.html

And also code for a various set of languages, localization, you could even change the layout to a different colour scheme to account for india's hate for yellow or something:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topi ... ation.html
http://developer.android.com/guide/topi ... strategies
http://developer.android.com/resources/ ... index.html

This can then display the robustness of your app / of the android platform and gives you a hell of a lot to write about in the accompanying report. Always a good thing!

Whoa, Blundell. 0_o

I was going to say something like code for accelerometer factors to be taken into to account with the camera (someone else previously suggested that here).
