Let's say I am composing an email and need to paste stuff from a doc and insert a few photos from my gallery. A Windows alt-tab type of list of running activities which we can switch back and forth from would be very useful.

Type email, go to doc , copy text, switch back to email, paste, go to gallery , browse for and copy image, switch to email, paste...

I know this is a fairly old topic, but if you just press and hold the home button it pops up an alt-tab type alert dialog that lets you choose from the past 6 running apps...
