Can any one suggest how to get the information from remote server from the app?

Your sentence was a little blurry, I bet you mean how you can get information from a server to an app (or the other way around)? Well, if you are most confident with java I would recommend: http://www.restlet.org/. Restlet is a simple REST framework for java (kind of like Ruby on Rails and such), and has a nifty Android client!

I meant to receive the information in the xml format of the server which is updating the data, so that i can access from my code. for ex, rail info.


Am looking out for key-value pair.
