I have a very simple application written for the android. It receives a text message, does some parsing and sends a text message out automatically.

Is there anyway to suppress the text message output? I don't want the user to know that the outgoing text message has been sent, basically

Please clarify if you would still like to send the message and not store the message in the sent items or you do not want to send the message at all?
