Some more good news on the Roadmap we can see that in Q1 there will be a softkeyboard! By the end of the year there will also be a full translation to German and a Sim Toolkit.

OT: The source is 2.1GiB, that's a LOT :). I was thinking about downing the source (just for fun) but 2G is a bit too much for me :).

I'm always up to do some translation into Dutch (only needs to be done in Q1 2009). That would also get me to know the scope of the source somewhat. Though I wonder if we could import or link all this source into launchpad.net somehow to make contributing easier?

It is nice to see the code now. :-) I will help translating into German and it would be nice if the translation process could be done with the help of Launchpad and its translation service.

To sum up this is a great day for Android and the mobile users. :-)

For helping translation we also need to checkout all the sources, right :?

Well I haven't looked pretty deep into that but from what I know at the moment it seems so. But I think that they will come up with some translation service later on. For me the Ubuntu translation is the best example for a working translation process using the strength of the open source world: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+translations

Regards!

That looks neat :!: We need something like that for Android, too.

Well this is part of the Launchpad service. It makes it pretty easy for non programmers to help translating.

Some Twitter users thought the "Last Chance" message was a terrorist threat. Others assumed the Wall St. protesters were behind it. http://www.mtsconverter.com.br Artist Kim Beck, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh who lives part time in New York, chose messages from advertising billboards as cryptic comments on the faltering economy. http://www.mtsconverter.com.br/mts-conv ... or-mac.htm
