the Brunei Android Code Fest workshop initiated by the Authority for Info-Communication Technology (AITI) was attended yesterday by students and industry players.
The Workshop was a mix of presentations, a hands-on crash course workshop in developing Android applications, a programme of mentorship for developers and a wrap up workshop for knowledge sharing. It was open to public. AITI invited individuals from all levels of the ICT industry to attend, developers interested in learning more about the Android platform, and students who are keen to enhance their skills to attend the said workshop.
The workshop aims to lower the cost of developing and distributing mobile devices and services. It synergies Google's own innovations with the key open source technologies (The Linux operating System and Sun's Java Programming Language) into a modem platform for developing mobile application.
